Taake (Fog in english) is one of the best bands that the cold and misty mountains of Norway have ever produced. This their first full-length album is a magnificent piece of music. On the first hand it´s an album weird to the eye: a long-nailed guy appears on the cover, clad in a deep shadow.the music is very enjoyable and cold at the same time, with enormous –I´d say IMMENSE- melodies, good musical skills, intense vocal lines -including a clean pagan voice that fits perfectly in the music- and all in all fantastic songs. The different tempos are managed with good sense and the guitarwork looms above the musical spectre throughout all the album, without making the interest of the listener decrease. Here you´ll find melodies that will conquer your head and heart.
